David Mellor Museum & Shop
Royal Designer for Industry David Mellor was born in Sheffield and built his cutlery factory in Hathersage in 1990. The award-winning Round Building is as beautiful as the items it produces, and guided tours provide insight into the manufacturing process and Mellor’s influence on British Design. With a café and an extensive shop selling Mellor products and homeware from international designers, this creative destination is a must.

Renishaw Hall Vineyard
The first vineyard at Renishaw Hall was planted in the 1970s, and for many years was the northernmost vineyard in the UK. Now in the hands of The English Wine Project, the vineyard at Renishaw is open seasonally for tours and tastings.
The Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop
Not to be confused with a Bakewell Tart, the Bakewell Pudding was the result of a happy accident at a local pub. Over a hundred years later, the recipe remains top secret but is still used to produce the much loved handmade puddings that are sold in the Bakewell shop, and posted worldwide.
