The House
Just 1.5 miles through the park from The Cavendish is Chatsworth House. Long known as a centre for creativity, Chatsworth features art and artefacts that span 4,000 years, displayed in over 25 rooms. The Grade I listed house is open every day from mid-March to early January, but we can arrange private tours for hotel guests year-round.
The Garden
Discover a garden where history and natural beauty meet. Lose yourself in 105 acres, including modern and historic waterways, a Victorian rock garden, arboretum, grotto, rose garden, kitchen and cutting garden and much, much more.
The Park
Explore the wild charm and trails of our 1,000 acre park, right on the banks of the River Derwent. From its groundbreaking design by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown in the 1760s, to today’s focus on regeneration and biodiversity, this is, and has always been, a park of great purpose and beauty.
The Farmyard and Woodland Playground
The farmyard has been a favourite activity for children since 1973, with daily activities and rare breed animals to meet including Suffolk Punch Horses, Albion cattle, Cream Legbar chickens and more. Adventure awaits in the playground with tall towers to climb, slides, swings and water play.
Chatsworth Farm Shop
The Farm Shop was established by Duchess Deborah in 1977, and has grown to become one of the most popular in the country, winning Farm Shop of the Year on a number of occasions. The Farm Shop is proud to act as a route to market for local producers, and showcases produce from the estate alongside a growing portfolio of artisans and makers.
In addition to the Farm Shop, The Orangery Shop at the house, Stables Shop adjacent to the garden and Chatsworth Kitchen at Peak Village in Rowsley all sell handcrafted homewares, produce and accessories from local and leading British brands.
Chatsworth Health Club
Whether you’re looking to keep up your fitness routine, try out a new wellness practice, or just unwind in the spa, guests of The Cavendish Hotel are welcome at the Chatsworth Health and Fitness Club. We offer a fully equipped gym with cutting-edge equipment, a diverse programme of group classes, a swimming pool and tennis court.
